Just figured out that these spindly little things few been taking down twice a year for four unfortunate years are Aspen babies from the root system of the copse in our front yard 😳 the leaves look SO DIFFERENT at this stage! Growing up with live oaks, pecan trees, and pines did not prepare me for tree babies in disguise.

We found the tiniest nugget of (what we think is) a greater short-horned lizard baby while we were harvesting yarrow and prarie sage today. I had to convince S that he was too cute to keep, and he needed to be out there having more cute lizard babies... but I *was* tempted!

When an unknown man sees the photographer taking pics of your kid from too far away and thinks she's being a creeper 🤣🤣🤣 This went on for several shots before he realized they knew each other!!

Took the fam to the Indian Food Festival yesterday, where I had the most bomb panipuri EVER. I went back twice and S got a henna tattoo. I am going to try making them, cuz I'm not waiting a year for more
