BUSINESS POLICY UPDATE — PLEASE READ!
Hey y’all! I need to make a few changes to how I handle custom designs and orders going forward.
I love creating things for people, but I also have to be fair to myself and my business. I’ve had people ask me to create something, and I’ll take my time designing it, researching, finding pictures, editing photos, and getting everything together, only to not hear from them again until weeks or even a month later.
Y’all, that is still WORK! My time and creativity are valuable, too, and I can’t continue doing custom work without being paid for it.
HERE’S HOW THINGS WILL WORK FROM NOW ON:
CUSTOM DESIGN FEES
* Simple designs: $10
* Custom designs: $20
* Complex designs: Starting at $35
These are starting prices. Your final quote will depend on what you need and how much work is involved. Researching, finding specific images, editing photos, removing backgrounds, recreating artwork, and other detailed work may cost extra. I’ll give you a quote before I start.
PAYMENT IS REQUIRED BEFORE I START.
No more creating designs before payment. Asking questions, sending pictures, or discussing an idea is fine, but I will not begin designing until the design fee has been paid.
RESEARCH & PHOTO EDITING
If your request involves finding specific pictures, researching a theme, fixing photos, removing backgrounds, or doing extensive editing, please understand that this takes time, too. Additional charges may apply depending on the work involved.
REVISIONS & CHANGES
Two reasonable revisions are included with your design fee. Additional minor revisions start at $5 each, depending on the work involved. Major changes or a completely different design will require an additional quote.
Please send all your ideas, wording, pictures, colors, and details before I begin. Changing your mind and wanting an entirely different design after I’ve already done the work is not included in the original price.
DESIGN FEES ARE SEPARATE FROM PRODUCT COSTS.
The design fee pays for my time and creative work. Printing, materials, and the actual products are priced separately. Paying for a design does not mean the finished products are included.
PLEASE DON’T LEAVE YOUR PROJECT HANGING.
Once I send your design proof, please respond within 3 business days with your approval or requested changes. Projects with no response may be placed on hold. If a project sits inactive for more than 14 days, a new quote or reactivation fee may apply before I resume work.
I appreciate everybody who supports my small business, and I’m always happy to discuss your ideas and give you a quote! I just have to start protecting my time and the work that goes into every order.
