National Farmers Market Week is almost here!

For 27 years, communities across the country have celebrated the important role farmers markets play in supporting small businesses, strengthening local economies, and bringing neighbors together.

Join us as we celebrate National Farmers Market Week at the Peculiar Farmers & Artisans Market on Wednesday, August 5, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at the Peculiar Lions Club Parking Lot, 500 Schug Ave.

We'll be celebrating our amazing farmers, bakers, artisans, makers, and young entrepreneurs who make our market such a special place each week.

Can you believe we're already halfway through the 2026 market season?

This Wednesday, July 22, marks the halfway point of another incredible season at the Peculiar Farmers & Artisans Market, and we just wanted to take a moment to say... thank you.

Thank you to every customer who has made it a point to shop local.

Thank you to every vendor who has spent countless hours creating, growing, baking, and preparing to bring their very best each week.

Thank you to our volunteers, musicians, food trucks, community partners, and everyone who has helped make this market more than just a place to shop. It’s become a place where our community comes together.

As summer begins to wind down and school starts back up, we hope you'll continue to make Wednesday afternoons part of your routine. There are still so many wonderful vendors to support, fresh products to discover, and friendly faces to see before our season wraps up on September 30.

Do you have a young baker, crafter, artist, maker, or entrepreneur with a business idea? We'd love to have them join us for Kids Entrepreneur Day at the Peculiar Farmers & Artisans Market!

This special market day is dedicated to giving young entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their talents, sell their products, build confidence, and learn what it's like to run a small business in a fun and supportive environment.

Whether they make baked goods, jewelry, artwork, woodworking, crochet items, handmade crafts, or other unique creations, we'd love to have them join us!

A few things to know:
✅ Participants provide their own tent, table, and chairs.
✅ Setup begins at 2:00 PM.
✅ Baked goods must comply with Missouri Cottage Food labeling requirements.
🚫 We do not encourage the sale of drinks or foods that require on-site preparation, as those require a health permit.
