Hello friends! I’ve so greatly enjoyed creating for all my Teeny Tiny customers these past 10 years and this business has been such a blessing to me in so many ways. When I first came up with the name Teeny Tiny Fashions, the Teeny Tiny part of it was all due to my Little Grandma. Many of you know her from my personal page and some know her from here. She impacted my life more than I can adequately put into words. Always a cheerleader for me, she encouraged me in every thing I did and was my number one fan. The name for my business came from a story she faithfully read every. single. night. for what seemed like years. That unwavering enthusiasm and support of me was a constant reminder that I was special and loved. I chose to use the Teeny Tiny part in my business name because I wanted to embody that same compassion and care for others that Little Grandma always showed me.
There’s been a great many changes in the last 2 years, including several moves, divorce and remarriage. In the midst of all that Little Grandma quietly and peacefully passed away. One day she was in my life, asking me what was “on the Facebook today” while aiding and abetting her miniature partner in crime (my daughter) into conning me into getting ice cream and the next day it seemed she was gone. No big fan fare or chaos...just slipping away like like water trickling through your fingers.
But the end result of all these changes is that I’m at a place in my life where I no longer have the drive and passion for this business that I once did. The parts of my life that this business filled are no longer empty and thus Teeny Tiny Fashions isn’t needed to fill them.
I’ve decided to close indefinitely and am pursuing other passions. I will be returning to the workforce outside of the home this fall, when I will start teaching special education preschoolers. Teaching was my dream job when I was young and I’m beyond excited to finally get back to it. I can’t wait to embody Little Grandma’s enthusiasm and compassion for all the Teeny Tiny faces that come through my classroom. I’m at peace with closing this chapter of my life and eager to see what the next chapter has in store.
With all my gratitude to you, my friends and customers, for your support over the years ~ I say thank you and may God bless you as he has blessed me.
With love,
Misty
