Some refer to me as “The belt lady” , others as Sam , the girl who does them “belts or whatever “ ..
Im Samantha Murphy , I am the proud owner of Cactus Creek Leather Work . I reside in Perryopolis Pennsylvania . I slowly built a small Craft I did casually at the end of the year of the pandemic into a thriving small business . I’ve always had an interest in crafting and using my artistic nature. After a few friends had noticed what I was doing they had pushed me to extend my artistic creativity and further into a business . It started with burning leather , to making beer koozies . And I finally ventured into the belts , such a hard obstacle to overcome, but I’m blessed to be able to have the ability to craft such a beautiful piece that gets to be worn by so many people.
In the past five years, I’ve calculated to have made over 300 + belts . Five years ago, I never would’ve imagined how far this would have gone if I didn’t have the support of family and friends pushing me to extend my knowledge and creativity into the art of the leather work .
Going into year six it’s truly a blessing to be able to do all of this and be able to own a thriving business that gets the sponsor many different activities throughout the state of Pennsylvania and some in other states .
Getting my belt out Pennsylvania was not difficult but to see them go over 3000 miles away absolutely makes me ecstatic ! Coast To Coast , Cactus Creek has surely made an impact on so many people and I am extremely thankful !
To my past customers , thank you for always being such a patient and supportive clientele . It means the world to me that everybody pushes me to try harder and push me to exceed the barriers.
To my new customers , this is not just about a piece of leather , this is something that you design. This is something that you put into your daily routine as a staple of your wardrobe to express you and your creativity… these belts, are you!
