Thrilled to have “School of Fish” selected for SAQA Global Exhibition SENSATIONAL. Thanks to Juror Alana Blumenthal for this amazing opportunity. I’m deeply honoured.

Sensational is a global exhibition that allows viewers to experience the works of art through sight sound sound and touch.

School of fish (37”x33”) is hand and machine pieced using upcylced fabrics.

After almost 18 months this is finally done . Ode to Japan is my love letter to Tokyo. Made from upcycled kimonos and yukata and some Japanese fabric scraps. It followed me through my travels as I focused on hand stitching like a meditation.

My WIP update continues. Earlier this year I made a baby quilt for Family V . Tums out the older silblings wanted one too . So I managed to make this very sweet hexie flower quilt which was finished just in time for it to be packed up to be hand delivered soon. There is one more that should be ready soon.

This hexie flower quilt of almost 1000 hexies were hand pieced with a running stitch (not EPP) , then machine quilted . The process was slow but a great scrap busting project.
