I have an old Brother 12 needle embroidery machine that I am getting rid of. It’s about 23 years old. Is there anyone who would like to have it for a parts machine?
Right now it has an error message and won’t go back to the start degree it’s supposed to be on. They don’t make parts for it anymore and they are fewer and fewer parts available on the secondary market. If there is someone who might be able to fix it, they can have it. There are two hat hoops that come with it. You will have to come get it, I won’t be shipping it. It uses floppy discs. I got my designs from Embroidery Library.

I have retired and my machine did too. I went to use it last week and another error message popped up and now it won’t even start up. It’s 24 years old and they don’t even make parts for it anymore.
And I wanted to embroider for myself! Damn!! It’s just as well. I have to go get an epidural soon and I’m getting another knee replacement in March. I will really set off alarms when I go through a metal detector! Both hip and both knees.
I stopped working when I had to take care of my Mom. I was so tired when I got home, all I wanted to do was sit.
I did embroidery for over 30 years. When the race track stopped giving out Championship Jackets after 20 years, and we stopped going to the races every week, I was ready to retire and then everything else got in the way of working. I still worked small jobs on weekends but when my husband fell and dislocated his shoulder, he had to retire. His work required both hands and when he found out it could take 3 months or more to heal, that was the last straw. If he couldn’t work, there was no way to pay the rent. So after almost 50 years of working in the Machine Shop, he closed up. The shop had been in business for over 67 years. His Dad worked with him until he was 89. He had opened the shop.

So my e-machine is sitting in my shop and I will be scraping it soon.
I loved the business and loved the excited look on my customers when they got their new jackets.
So thank you to all my customers for all your business over the years. I really appreciated your business!

Well after over 30 years of doing embroidery, 5 hip surgeries and months of physical therapy, I decided to retire. My machines are old, my computers are old and so am I! I still have my machines in my garage, but I’m taking care of my Mom now so it doesn’t leave me much time for my crafts anymore.
I will post some of the work I have done and some of the new stuff I do for myself.
I started doing embroidery so I could make jackets for the Petaluma Speedway drivers, pit crew family and friends. That covered a lot of people, and on opening day I could see hundreds of jackets I had embroidered. And after 20 years of doing the Championship jackets, a new track manager decided not to give them out anymore. I still had lots of work from other people but with all the health issues I was having, plus having to care for my mom, it was time to retire.
I miss doing the race jackets, but I will still do them for my family. We are on the 4th generation of race fans in the family. My sons started going in 1979, then their kids started going and now their kids are going. The youngest great grandson has been going since he was about three months old. And he has been asking when can they go to the races again. So I hope this year they will open up the grandstands again.

Check this out! I was just looking at all the cords I have and how many are usb cords I have to use now. This is the answer to all that charging mess! My cords take up three power strips. This is way easier! Check it out!

Well, it happened again! I'm in hip hell again! I fell and dislocated my left hip. That one that had the locking ring put on it to keep it from dislocating again.... but when I slipped and fell, I hit just just right and it popped off and my hip came out of the socket. So I am layed up again. But this time the doctor said I could sit and sew. So I have two sewing machines in tbe house and I'm working on UFPs, unfinished projects. I have one machine doing embroidery and sewing with the other.

I will be able to do small jobs if anyone has anything they want done, hem pants, replace zippers or just mending. I just can't do any big jobs right now because I can't use my big embroidery machines.

I am working on some other projects that I will post pictures of to show what I am making and hopefully going to sell. I have so much fabric of every kind, I have to do something with it. I have 5 quilt tops that need to be quilted, and have 5 bags cut out and a stack of things to embroider. It's my rehab process and is keeping me busy and keeps me from going crazy!

Finally, after 3 1/2 years of hip hell, I'm able to go back to work part time. Recovery was not as fast as I hoped after 4 hip surgeries, 4 hip dislocations, a broken leg and two epidurals in my back.
This whole thing has been really tough on me and my family and I'm glad to be able to go back to work again. I have been sewing for over 50 years and doing embroidery for over half that time and I have decided to start making things, such as baby dresses, baptism dresses, bags and other items that I will decorate with embroidery.

I have set up my sewing and embroidery machines and can do a number of things. I can embroider on jackets, shirts, tablecloths, placemats, towels, Wedding hankies, baby blankets, baptism gowns and much more.
I am also doing mending and can replace zippers in lots of things. I have done sleeping bags, tents, dresses and some jeans. I can order long or short zippers made to the size you need.
I will be posting some more pictures of the things I have already made soon.

I'm unable to work right now and will be off until probably August 15th, 2015 just in time for the beginning of the school year. In time to label your kids jackets and backpacks for school. Also do those soccer bags for fall.

I have over 100,000 embroidery designs now, something for everyone and I buy more every month. I can put a design on pillows, pillowcases, jackets, sweatshirts, bags, pants, just about anything I can get in a hoop.
I will be doing more custom work and of course, letterman jackets.

I will still be doing any mending you might need done. And I hem jeans, dresses - long or short - plain or fancy and can replace most zippers.

I will not be taking in any jobs for at least the next 3 to 4 weeks. I have to have a second hip surgery 11/5/2013. I had a full hip replacement on Sept 19th, but I dislocated it twice in the 20 days so I have to go back to have a revision done. I 'm so upset that I can't do any work now, I feel like I could, but not willing to take a chance of knocking it out of its socket again. So please be patient and I will be back to work as soon as I can.

It's football season and I sell letterman jackets. One of the finest quallity jackets made in the USA and they do custom colors and have sizes to 5X. Some colors are stock such as Black, but it you want to order different colors, such as the Petaluma High jacket, purple with gray leather sleeves and striped cuffs and collars, please order before the 1st of November to get here by Christmas and be embroidered. I try my best to get the jackets embroidered in less than 5 days once it arrives. It just depends on my work in the shop.

Finally have both of my shops set up and organized..It was a feat to do with a bad hip. The garage door broke last Thanksgiving and I had to empty my packed shop 10 feet back from the door. Some went into the other half of the shop, the rest went to the Sunroom. So while trying to sort the mess out again, work on Christmas orders as welll as keep the house up, my hip finally gave out and it was a slow process. But it is finally done, for the most part anyway. I have had my hip replacement surgery 10 days ago and I hope that in a few more weeks I will be back to working full time and starting Christmas orders.
