Finished up Pendleton County’s America 250 Mural Project just in time for the 4th of July 🎨
📍 Franklin, WV

This project is a continuation of a mural I completed two years ago. The original mural was a painting of the Florentine Hotel and Fleming Restaurant, both of which were lost in the 1924 fire.
This time around, I highlighted the three regions of Pendleton County (South Branch, North Fork, and South Fork). Each region features a historic photo of the mills prevalent in that area (McCoy’s Mill, Bogg’s Mill, and Homan Mill). In the background, you will see Seneca Rocks and Eagle Rock. 🎨

Special thanks to the Pendleton County CVB, Pendleton County Commissioners, Seneca Rocks Development Authority, and West Virginia Dept. of Tourism for making this possible.

Paint & Paddle 🎨

Last weekend, I displayed eight of the Mon Forest Towns canoes I painted at the Folk Around: Appalachian Art & Music Festival !

This project has been a big collaboration project I’ve been working on over the last 8 months with WVU Art Education and South Branch Career & Technical Center. Seeing all the canoes displayed together has made all the planning and work worthwhile!

These canoes will remain on display behind South Side Studios WV for a limited time.

My latest mural “Through the Trough”
Located on the side of the South Branch Inn.

This painting serves as Hardy County’s America 250 mural project. 🎨
The mural highlights the South Branch Potomac River, the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad, and all the local wildlife that can be scene will kayaking “Through the Trough.”

Thank you to the Hardy County Commissioners, West Virginia Department of Tourism, South Branch Inn and the Williams for making this project possible.
