We had so much fun today with our back to school free clothing drive (some clothing is not free) that we’re going to do it again tomorrow Wednesday August 5th. We will be open 10 AM to 5 PM. Come out and see all the goodies we have. The volunteers worked quite a bit today with putting new stuff out. But wow, did we get rid of a lot of clothes, but there is A LOT still there. Thank you all who came out and took advantage of this wonderful sale before school starts. We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow.

The donation kettle will be set up if you feel you would like to donate but you do not have to. This is for clothing items only.

Did you know that community Christian thrift store is an outreach of the six points Church of God of prophecy? While we are our own entity, we work hand-in-hand with the six points church to help those in our community.

If you or your family do not already have a church to attend, and are looking to attend a family oriented, loving church that has devoted so much to helping people in our community and love the Lord please come check us out.

Thank you to the wonderful customer who went out and put the items inside. We appreciate you helping us.

Good evening, as many of you know two of our volunteers have lost loved ones in the last couple weeks, and our manager lost her brother-in-law, and our I lost my uncle. I’m going to kindly ask you to please keep them all in your prayers. It’s been a difficult couple weeks.

Also, please, when dropping items off at the Thrift store open up the shed door and put the stuff inside. I am seeing on the camera view that somebody has piled stuff on the ramp going into the store. They didn’t even open the shed door and try to put it inside. Yes I have them on camera, no I am not going to show a picture as I do believe it is a misunderstanding. With the forecasted weather and us not opening till Tuesday. The stuff is going to get wet and ruined. If this was you, please go back out and put it inside the shed. We are already down several volunteers and keeping things outside just makes it more challenging for them.

There’s no need for comments on this as this is not a time for us asking for suggestions or anything of that nature.

Oops… I made a mistake on the dates of free day. Updated post below. 

Just a friendly reminder that we have free days coming up August 4th and 5th.

Please also remember if the shed is full, then we cannot take donations. We are short on staff this week and next week.

This is not the time for us asking for suggestions and things of that nature or to critique us on how we do things. We have a few volunteers who are grieving the loss of a loved one, some with health issues, and some on vacation. So getting new inventory out will be much slower. Remember, kindness is appreciated.

If you were wanting to volunteer, please stop out to the thrift store and talk to our manager when she returns the following week.

We will have the donation kettle set out if you feel led to give a donation. Remember, it takes quite a bit of money to keep the doors open. So if you feel lead to give, we would appreciate it, but it is not required.
