Be on the lookout out for a bad review. Customer dropped his car off 2 or 3 weeks ago for a diagnostic and estimate. We checked the car out about a week later and Jason has an estimate and has on paper were he called and left 2 messages with no response, so the customer shows up today while jason is on vacation and will be back wensday, WE NEVER GET ANY TIME OFF, upset cause jason hasn't called him with an update. He said his car has been here for 2 months in which none of the 35 cars that was here before his has been here for 2 months and proceeded to tell me that jason was a liar and that we are liars and was gona leave a bad review. First of all generic transmission is the most respectable, trust worthy and honest shop within a 100 mile radius. We generally run about 2 to 3 weeks behind in work and that's because we are the best at what we do. When you pull into our shop there will always be about 10 to 12 cars in the lot but there is allso about 25 in the back lot that was here before you and work on them as they come in, nobody jumps the line. I stopped all advertising 3 years ago because we were running 5 weeks behind and that was a problem for getting people's car out in a timely manner but sense I have halted ALL advertising we run about 2 to 3 weeks out and that is more manageable. People bring us there cars for a reason and that is because we are the best. So because the customer called jason a liar at that point I said that he can (will)take his car somewhere else and that he will no longer be a customer of generic transmission. At this point no matter if I fixed his car for free he will never be happy. People bring us there cars for a reason. And if you have an attitude or need your vehicle back YESTERDAY than there are about 9 other transmission shops over in Columbus that probably need your money a whole lot more than I do. We will choose to work on your car by your attitude and not by your wallet. I am at the age now that I run my business because I like working on cars and not that I have to and some of my employees are not at the age of retirement yet so I have the privilege of picking and choosing what I will work on and please enjoy the time generic transmission has left because I feel sorry for the phenix city, Columbus, opelika and auburn area when we close our doors and retire.
