Day 2 of ComplexCon saw the drops of two new Mache Runners: “Queen Mary” and “Blank Canvas”.

🚢 Inspired by the historic Long Beach ocean liner with a haunted past, the “Queen Mary” featured a white glow-in-the-dark leather upper.

🎨 Each purchase of the all-white leather “Blank Canvas” pair came with an Angelus Direct Leather Paint Basics Kit that allowed for on-site customization with Mache Custom Kicks himself.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Manager to join the Garrixon team. We are searching for a strategic sourcing professional to support production and operations in footwear manufacturing. The ideal candidate will coordinate between internal design and sampling teams and external vendors to source, purchase, and strategize quality materials for all footwear components, implementing cost saving strategies and expanding vendor network.

This is an on-site position located in Northeast Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities:

- Work with technical design team to interpret materials for new samples
- Coordinate with vendors for all components, making sure to understand product availability, lead times, MOQs, and pricing (leathers, textiles, synthetics, vinyl, laces, hardware, woven labels, molded pieces, embroidery, outsoles, shoeboxes, insoles, etc.)
- Select material options to send to customers and/or sample team members for upcoming projects
- Create costing sheets for all new projects and bill of materials
- Create actual spending reports and analyze ways to improve costing and spending
- Daily follow up/email communication with cross functional teams and vendors
- Manage swatch cards for new projects for cutting team
- Create purchase orders through Excel, send to vendors and follow up with all orders
- Expand vendor list and strategize based on forecasts for bulk orders/shipments, and country to manufacture
- Deliver Sourcing Report to Project Manager weekly
- Manage all material spending/receipts, compile COGS report
- Manage Sourcing Coordinator, check Open Orders reports weekly
- Set goals for Sourcing Department and follow up on improvements

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in textiles, fashion, design, logistics, supply chain, or operations related field
- 2-5 years of experience in material sourcing for development or production
- Procurement or purchasing experience of some kind required
- Ability to problem solve and think independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Adobe Illustrator skills are a plus
