Hey everybody! We just wanted to follow up regarding our last post asking if people were participating in Me-Made-May because we noticed some people werenât familiar with what it is â so hereâs a quick explanation. đ¤
Me-Made-May was originally started by sewing blogger Zoe Edwards of So, Zo... What Do You Know? as a way to encourage makers to actually wear the garments they create instead of letting them sit in the closet waiting for the âperfect moment.â Over time, it grew into a worldwide movement celebrating handmade fashion, creativity, sustainability, and personal style.
And just to clear up a common misconception: you are NOT required to post every day. There are no strict rules and absolutely no pressure. Some people post daily, some weekly, and some participate completely offline and privately.
The goal is simply to challenge yourself to wear, appreciate, and reconnect with the pieces youâve made. Whether thatâs one handmade garment, a fully me-made wardrobe, or even revisiting unfinished projects â it all counts.
Most importantly, participate in a way that feels good for YOU. đŞĄ
