βπΏ Happy Juneteenth!βπΏ
Did you know that Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, commemorates the day when enslaved black people in the United States were officially declared free? Today, we celebrate our freedom and continue the fight for a more just and equitable society.
This carousel post shows just some of the issues we are fighting for, including protecting voting rights, living wages, police, and criminal justice reform, and more. It's important to recognize that these issues intersect and are all part of the fight for Black liberation.
Let's use this day to educate ourselves and others about the struggle for equality. Together we can create a better future for Black people and all marginalized communities.
Don't forget to show your support for Black businesses, farmers, and those seeking asylum.
