This is becoming one of my favorite questions:
What is pulling me?
Not:
Is it productive?
Can I sell it?
Am I good at it?
Where will this lead?
Just:
Am I curious?
Those tiny pulls may be giving us more information than we realize.

Save this for the next time you feel like you ā€œshouldā€ have it figured out

09/02/2026

Maybe it wasn’t one big moment.
Maybe it happened in tiny increments.
Being practical.
Being responsible.
Being busy.
Choosing what worked.
Choosing what everyone else needed.
Until one day you look around and wonder:
Where am I in all of this?
I’ve become fascinated by the small ways we can begin noticing ourselves again.
What we wear is one of them

Has this happened to you?

There is such a difference between being lost and being disconnected.
Lost makes it sound as though somewhere along the way we misplaced ourselves.
I’m beginning to think that’s not what happens at all.
We become very good at listening outward.
What does everyone need?
What should I do?
What makes sense?
And eventually that quieter question can become difficult to hear:
What do I want?
That’s one of the questions I’m exploring here.
Not through five-year plans.
Through color, creativity, curiosity and small choices.
What part of yourself would you like a little more of again?

If you’re over 50 and you’ve found yourself wondering:
What do I even want anymore?
I want to try something different this September.
Instead of sitting around trying to THINK our way to the answer, let’s experiment.
I’ve created More-of-Me September: 30 tiny experiments to discover what you want more of.
Nothing complicated.
Make something.
Go somewhere new.
Wear a color you love.
Sit somewhere beautiful.
Call someone you miss.
Try something just because it sounds interesting.
And then comes the important part:
NOTICE.
Did that give me energy?
Did I enjoy it?
Did I feel more like myself?
Would I like more of that?
You don’t have to complete all 30.
Do them in order. Jump around. Skip some.
There are no gold stars for finishing. šŸ˜„
We’re gathering clues.
Comment BINGO and I’ll send you the printable card.

I’ve been working with the Art of Manifesting, using drawing as a way to explore an intention.

This one is my Horn of Plenty.

My intention was simple:

Abundance of everything.

Not just money or things.

Abundance of creativity.
Abundance of ideas.
Abundance of love and friendship.
Abundance of experiences.
Abundance of opportunities.
Abundance of beauty.
Abundance of time spent doing what makes me feel alive.

As I drew, I didn’t try to decide exactly what any of that abundance should look like.

I just kept filling the page.

Lines connecting to other lines.
Shapes growing inside shapes.
Flowers, eyes, spirals, strange little creatures and things I couldn’t quite name.

And maybe that’s part of the practice.

Instead of saying, ā€œThis is exactly what I want my life to look like,ā€ I’m setting the intention and leaving some room for life to surprise me.

At this stage of life, I’m becoming much more interested in that question:

What would an abundant life mean to me now?

Not someone else’s version.

Mine.

And I’m curious…

If you were creating your own Horn of Plenty, what would you want it overflowing with? šŸŽØ

I’m becoming increasingly suspicious of the phrase:
ā€œSomeday.ā€
Someday I’ll take the class.
Someday I’ll make the thing.
Someday I’ll travel there.
Someday I’ll make more time for myself.
Someday I’ll figure out what I actually want.
I’m not suggesting we make reckless decisions.
I’m talking about the little things that keep tapping us on the shoulder.
The things we could explore now.
Maybe curiosity doesn’t need a five-year plan.
Sometimes it only needs Tuesday afternoon.
What have you been putting in the ā€œsomedayā€ pile?

Tell me one. Saying it out loud counts.

ā€œWhat do I want?ā€
Such a simple question.
Until you realize you haven’t asked it in years.
So instead of trying to answer the enormous question:
What do I want to do with the rest of my life?
I made something much simpler.
What Do I Want Now?
It’s a free 10-minute Mini Reset designed to help you identify what you need more of right now:
More ME
More CREATIVITY
More POSSIBILITY
or More SPACE
And then choose one small thing you can actually do this week.
You don’t need your entire next chapter figured out.
You just need somewhere to begin.

Comment WANT and I’ll send you the free Mini Reset.

I’ve spent plenty of time asking myself what I want to do next.
Thinking.
Planning.
Trying to make all the pieces fit together.
But lately I’ve noticed something.
When I’m painting, sewing or making something, I stop trying so hard to find the answer.
And sometimes something becomes clearer anyway.
What interests me.
What gives me energy.
What I want more of.
What I’ve missed.
Maybe we don’t always think our way into the next chapter.
Maybe sometimes we create our way there.
What do you do that makes you feel most like yourself?

Tell me below. I’m genuinely curious.
And if you want to have a bit of help, comment Want and I will send you something.

When I was younger, I assumed that eventually there would be an age when I would feel completely grown-up and have everything figured out.
Still waiting. šŸ˜‚
And strangely, I’m glad.
Because maybe having everything figured out would mean there was nothing left to discover.
I’m becoming much more interested in curiosity than certainty.
What did you think you’d have figured out by now?

Comment yours. The more ridiculous, the better.

There’s a difference between being lost and realizing that an old version of your life no longer fits quite the same way.
That distinction has been on my mind.
Sometimes we immediately think:
Something is wrong with me.
But maybe nothing is wrong.
Maybe our interests are changing.
Maybe our needs are changing.
Maybe we want more creativity, more freedom, more quiet, more adventure, more time that belongs to us.
Maybe we’re simply beginning to hear ourselves differently.
What feels different for you now than it did ten years ago?

Finish this sentence in the comments: ā€œThese days I want more ______ā€.
