The elusive Jimmy is still unknown to this day. He is believed to have taken over at Ciro's in London when thes famed bartender Harry McElhone bought his own bar, Harry's Bar in Paris. Cocktails contains 251 alphabetically arranged drink recipes, including an early coveted recipe for the Pegu Club, and Jimmy's own White Lady. These cocktails, along with the many others described, were made popular by McElhone and Jimmy at Ciro's in London, part of an elegant restaurant group with locations throughout the elite travel destinations of Europe. Jimmy simplifies instructions, using ratio's in parts instead of an exact measurement, leaving the reader to determine the size of the final cocktail. A good first edition, with most of the original dust jacket and firm binding. Overall in good condition.
