Now in store: Paraboot's iconic Michael in the legendary Horween Chromexcel leather.

The Michael needs no introduction but we'll give you a brief one anyway, the derby was launched in 1945 as a workers shoe, worn by everyone from farmers to lumberjacks. The model has stood the test of time and is more popular today than it was over 80 years ago.

What makes this pair so special is the leather, Chromexcel is made by the storied Horween tannery in Chicago. It is considered by many to be the first "pull up" leather and takes 89 separate processes split over 28 working days to create. Chromexcel has been in production for well over 100 years. It's safe to say you'd be hard pressed to find a tannery producing something on par.

These shoes tell two incredible stories of dedicated craftsmanship across two continents coming together to create one gorgeous product. It doesn't hurt too that they are in an absolutely perfect shade of burgundy.
