It’s been a minute… ✨
I’ve truly enjoyed the freedom I gave myself these last few weeks to just create. No pressure, no deadline, no rush, no expectations. Just following my inspiration, moving with my own rhythm, and letting the pieces become what they wanted to become.
And it felt so liberating, recharging, and refreshing — like taking a few deep breaths of fresh air, but for the soul. I recharge and nourish my soul fully when I’m in that space, my studio, my happy place.
Even with all the messy, dirty, noisy, frustrating, often awkward parts of the making process. The times when something doesn’t work, then maybe it works, then you have to rethink it, fix it, adjust it, and keep going…
And then, after this long sequence — after all the measuring, the adjustments, the problem-solving, after all the finishing touches have been added — there’s that moment when I take a look at the finished piece… and that moment doesn’t compare to anything else. That’s the reminder of why I keep doing this manual labor of love, why I need to refuel my soul through that messy creative process over and over again, and why I fully embrace the solitude in my studio.
So here’s a little glimpse of some of the pieces I’ve been working on lately: a vivid, summery pop of color — a few one-of-a-kind pairs of earrings made with genuine Blue Ridge and Sonoran Gold turquoise and white freshwater pearls, and a couple of genuine Italian coral chokers with vermeil accents.
The turquoise and pearl earrings are now available on my website.
The coral necklaces are coming up.
I have more to share with you soon. Stay tuned.
