Apparel for the cook, chef, and foodie. 20% of each purchase donated to help and Food waste is a hugely vast problem.

Working in the food industry, I became acutely aware of the enormity of waste that occurs in restaurants (and elsewhere). Every year, 40 million tons of food is wasted in the US alone. Meanwhile, nearly 1 in 10 American families are food insecure or hungry; they do not know when or where their next meal will come from. In Arizona, where Cooking Up Luv is based, 1 in 6 families are food insecure. I

decided to do something about this - however small - to support organizations fighting food waste and hunger. That is why 20% of every purchase from Cooking Up Luv is donated to this cause. My designs are inspired by elements of daily work in a kitchen. I start by taking a picture of my subject, draw in any details, then digitize it. After that, I send it off to my local screen printing partners to do their magic! At the end of each month, 20% of sales are donated to an independently vetted charity. Yaki udon using ingredients from 🥕❤

One of my favorite comfort foods, yaki udon is made from thick, wheat udon noodles stir fried with vegetables and protein. 😋

Stir frys are a great way to use up any veg or protein you have before they go bad!

Project Roots nourishes and educates communities in need by promoting a healthier, natural, and more sustainable way of urban living.

Not pictured are the children who attended a class today educating them on farming methods and food. There are so many wonderful things this nonprofit does!

Love coming across other socially minded companies (especially when it involves a refreshing adult beverage on a beautiful spring day)!

Did you know that US restaurants generate an estimated 30 billion pounds of food waste each year? 😬
