When your coworker doesn’t really understand days of the week, let alone a holiday weekend, convincing him that we should call it early for the weekend comes with its challenges. Luckily he likes treats and toys so he is easily distracted.

And a cock-a-doodle doo to you too. The avian smorgasbord on my screen means only one thing, that work is underway on the beginning sketches for a logo for one of my favorite clients . I'm excited by this project and the mission that has inspired this business. It's a convergence of a few things I'm a fan of; mental health support, cars, with a 90's flare. So stay tuned as this project is finally realized into a kick-ass logo.

I want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there who are enduring, surviving, and loving willful daughters and a very special acknowledgment to my Mother, who could write a book on it. Raising me was never dull, nor was it ever easy. Thanks for keeping me alive, holding my hand, and supporting my individuality. I've unapologetically gone to great lengths to make motherhood as challenging as possible, and impressively you have managed to love me despite it.

What are the ingredients for a successful shop?

1. Build a business with a lot of heart and soul.
2. Put a motorcycle in the middle of the shop. Yes, seriously, do it! (Tip: throw a piece of wood on it, and it can double as a conference table if the situation warrants )
3. Probably the most important, a rad, ride-or-die shop dog! Meet my dude and Southern Fried’s only employee. He is in charge of culture.
