Summer is for Smiles!!!
Let’s make the Summer of 2026 all about smiles and helping the ELSA bill pass through Congress! Here are a few sunny ways to create meaningful change, spread a little sunshine, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
1. Pack your sunscreen and your purpose!
If your summer travels take you to D.C., why not soak up the opportunity to meet with congressional offices? Whether you connect with a legislator or a staff member, your voice can help shine a light on ELSA. Advocacy events and Hill Days are also fantastic chances to meet fellow changemakers who are ready to make waves.
2. Shine bright in your local community.
Summer is full of chances to connect. From town halls and community gatherings to neighborhood events and meet-and-greets, keep an eye on your elected officials’ social media pages and newsletters so you can catch opportunities to share your perspective. Sometimes the brightest ideas start right in your own backyard.
3. Bring important conversations into the light.
You don’t need to be an expert to make an impact. Reach out to your legislators’ offices and ask about scheduling a brief virtual meeting with them or their team. Sharing your experiences can be the ray of insight that helps move important conversations forward.
4. Send a little sunshine to Congress.
A thoughtful email is a simple but powerful way to support ELSA. If your representatives haven’t signed on yet, encourage them to get involved. If they already support it, send a sunny thank-you and let them know you hope they’ll keep the momentum glowing. Every message adds warmth to the movement.
5. Help ELSA’s message shine.
Spread awareness wherever you can! Share posts, repost stories, text a friend, or chat with family members about ELSA. Every conversation helps the cause grow, and each new supporter adds another sunbeam to a brighter future.
Real change is built one sunny step at a time when people keep showing up, speaking out, and helping others see the light. This summer, let’s make waves together, keep the momentum glowing, and help ELSA shine even brighter.
