RIP: It is w/ GREAT SADNESS to share that David Espinoza, the founder, and owner of BootMaker, passed away earlier this summer from a weak heart.
David Espinoza, 75, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on June 7, 2023, He was a native of the state and his family were Arizona pioneers.
David was the founder and owner of the retail business, 'BootMaker David Espinoza' with several locations throughout the Valley through the years. David's customers could always be certain that when they stopped by to get new boots, or their shoes repaired, they would be greeted with a good story of David's adventures. David's employees described him as the best boss one could ever work with.
David Espinoza's career started at a young age when he began shining shoes for his family to wear for Sunday church services. He developed a passion for bootmaking during high school and went on to become an award-winning bootmaker and owner of Espinoza Bootmaker for nearly 50 years. His exceptional skills and dedication were recognized when he was chosen to present at the Google Small Business conference.
David was also known for his customized boots featuring the Arizona flag and its glorious desert colors. He was voted "Best of Phoenix" Independent Bootmaker multiple times and featured on the Phoenix Magazine cover. His craftsmanship brought joy to hundreds of customers from all over.
His devotion to his craft extended beyond his profession, as bootmaking became his hobby and lifelong love. He was a true artisan & generous of heart.
A Celebration of David's Life will be held in Phoenix on October 29, 2023, 1-5 p.m. DM this accnt to RSVP.
