Holy crap. Antique Sugar is 16 years old today.
Sixteen years of handling some of the most beautiful, rare vintage pieces you’ve ever seen... and some of the dirtiest, most foul things you can imagine.
Sixteen years of bank accounts hitting zero to keep this thing alive. Of surviving a pandemic shutdown. Of one viral moment that somehow brought us death threats AND envelopes full of cash from strangers. Of a few monstrous customers we’ll never name, and COUNTLESS amazing people we’re lucky to know.
Sixteen years of incredibly smart, talented employees, past and present, who helped shape this place into what it is today. We could not have done it without you.
We’re still learning every day, about vintage and about how to run a business. It has never been easy, but it has absolutely been interesting.
And to my business partner, my best friend since we were teenagers: 16 years of Antique Sugar might be the hardest, most stressful, most rewarding, most fun time of our lives. Thank you for every wild adventure so far.
