Today I’m excited to share KALLI WARD :) Shop The Foxxy , who recenShop The Foxxyfrom the University of Missouri with a degree in Journalism, an emphasis in Strategic Communications, and a minor in Textile and Apparel Management.

This share is especially personal because I’ve known Kalli and her family for many years. Kalli and my son Mac went to preschool together, so I’ve had the chance to watch her grow into the confident, creative young woman and business owner she is today.

If you follow our Sunday Share series, I featured Kalli after she opened a ShopTheFoxxy storefront on Mizzou’s campus. Now it’s great to celebrate her graduation and all she accomplished while earning her degree and building her business.

Kalli was involved in Alpha Delta Pi and Mizzou’s entrepreneurship community. After pitching ShopTheFoxxy to a panel of judges, she won the opportunity to operate a campus storefront during her senior year. While attending school full-time, she managed the store, led four employees, and oversaw inventory and marketing. It was fun to follow along as she brought her parents to trade shows and buying trips. I still say Matt Ward makes a great model for the latest trends in women’s clothing.

One of Kalli’s favorite parts of college was building her first loyal customer base. She loved seeing familiar faces, getting to know her customers, and watching their excitement over each new collection. The store became more than a business. It became a community.

Her advice to young women heading to college is to just go for it. Take the first step, put yourself out there, and do not let fear of what others think stop you from pursuing something you care about.

Kalli has now returned to Phoenix and is running ShopTheFoxxy full-time. The business recently moved into its first warehouse and office, and she is participating in pop-up markets throughout the Valley. Her goal is to open a permanent retail storefront in Phoenix.

For the first time in 13 years, Kalli and her three sisters are all living in the same state, and she is especially happy to spend more time as “Auntie Kalli” to her two nieces.

It’s Sunday, and today I’m excited to share Emma Blackstone emma!! . Emma recently graduated from the University of Denver with distinction in her major, earning a BSBA in Business Administration with a marketing concentration and minors in Business Data Analytics and Strategic Communications.

During her time at DU, Emma took full advantage of her college experience. She was involved in Delta Zeta Sorority, Hillel, Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity, and the Business Management Club, where she helped lead marketing and student engagement. She also had the opportunity to study abroad in Prague.

While being fully immersed in campus life, Emma was also intentional about building real-world experience. She completed internships with Axway and Hyatt. Those opportunities helped shape her next steps in digital marketing.

When I asked Emma to share a favorite memory or highlight, she said it was learning to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. She talked about intentionally putting herself out there, trying new things, and being willing to take a leap when needed. Personally, I loved that answer because it feels like such an honest part of growing up and finding your way.

I also asked Emma what advice she would give to someone just starting college, and she recommended staying open-minded to new experiences, opportunities, and friendships.

Next up, Emma will be starting a digital marketing job with Axway, a global software company where she previously interned. Before beginning her professional life, she is looking forward to enjoying one last summer in Denver, traveling, and getting ready for her first “big girl” job. Sitting here in Phoenix, I’m a little envious of the cooler weather!

Congratulations, Emma! You made the most of your time at DU and all that it had to offer. I’m excited for you and all that is ahead.
