The boys from Flying H are back from the Survival Hike and here’s what a mom shared-
Hi family and friends! Some of you may not know this, as this was by far one of the hardest things we have ever done and hard to explain to people who don’t understand what was happening in our home. In January we took our oldest, Brenden up to Washington to a boys youth ranch called the Flying H. Brenden was struggling here at home, and as hard it is to admit, there was nothing that Rik or I could do to parent him and grow him anymore. He needed drastic change or we feared the worst for his life. As a mother, my heart was broken, but knew I had no other choice. So, here we are 7 months later and he just completed an 8 day survival hike!! The staff and all the boys go out, live off the land for the most part, they have the boys do 24 hours alone(which terrified me!!) but he did it! The best part of him going there is Brenden sounds like himself again! Our family is being healed, and he sounds and looks so happy! I CANNOT thank the staff enough for guiding and loving on my boy!
