As we head into the new year let's go over some FAQ:

Why do I need to submit photos with my inquiry?

To get your combination of information and dress details processed quickly for an estimate the photos are critical for me to assess my workload and the feasibility for me to finish your dress at a high quality level.

How do I lock-in my slot for alterations?

I accept the fitting fee prepaid as a reservation holder for your slot. Fitting fee covers the first fitting, a second check in if needed and the final appointment with a bustle tutorial.

Can I get a discount? Do you price match another seamstress/shop?

You are welcome to get less items done if you need a lower ticket price but I do not offer student, health care, military discounts. All local seamstresses have different skill sets, goals, prices and I do not price match to anyone.

Can my bridesmaid/mother/fiancé call to make my appointment?

It's preferred to have the bride fill out the form so I can coordinate with her directly for the quickest response time.

How long is your estimate good for?

The estimate is good till we hit a rush fee zone but I might fill up by the time you get multiple estimates if a lot of time has elapsed.

Preparations to close the sewing room door for Christmas are underway today! Wrapping up the last bits of emails and tidying so I can get to cooking and cleaning a holiday feast!

Busy season means sewing late into the night and trying to answer every email inquiry....it's always a tough balancing act but getting photos back from brides makes it worth the work!

So thankful for the sweet brides like this one 💓 just a nice little fit with hem and bustle and a darling custom bow 🥰

It's the thick of bridal season in Arizona and I'm so thankful for all of my wonderful brides sending in photos... I am absolutely in love with Brielle's dress and her gorgeous green venue.

I'm always so excited to see the final photos not just for the hair, makeup and flowers... I love seeing *that* kind of smile! I see joy, confidence and I can tell she's not thinking about how she looks because she knows she looks awesome!

I was honored to fit this dress through the body and create a bustle for the new Mrs. Richardson!

I've been a little quiet on my social media pages while I work on PPE and I want to thank everyone who has reached out to check in on me and see how I'm doing.

I am tickled to report that I am slowly adding client work back into the schedule. I will be taking less than normal though so please inquire for work ahead of time in case I need to refer you to another amazing local seamstress. My workspace looks like a tornado hit it and I am hoping to clean and reorganize when the metaphoric dust has all settled.

If your project is currently with me, it's most likely in progress and going great. I appreciate you all who saved projects and mending for me to do; you are the wings that lift me up

National Picnic is having a killer sale right now! Theyve been making mask kits and sewing masks over the last month ... I own several of their garments and I can attest the quality is worth the price. This sale is a great way to get started buying American Made products

Here's a peek at the last few weeks of my sewing life.... I've been making covers for the N95 to help medical care professionals extend the use of what little they have. I've stopped counting because I want my heart in the right place during this whole difficult time. I am so thankful for everyone who has donated fabric or money to help me continue making and mailing these out.

I was also provided the task of pleating H600 material for a local hospital through the Sew Sweet Angel Gowns group I volunteer with. As my thread supply, interfacing, and muslin supply get depleted all of those donations are keeping me going. Thank goodness I've always had a good stock of supplies on hand!

I can't order the muslin today.... but soon. Soon we will be through this... and soon we will be back to sewing everything else 💕

Cotton grown in Alabama with production in Texas... they have a discount code COTTON right now and I'm sure they'd love the support. I hope that the need for American production will increase and that we can rise to meet the demand. Working in sheet production would be a blast, seamstress side note.

It's always good to shop as local as you can--supporting each other is as simple as where we spend our money on things we already need 💕
