And I love her so much. 😍

The Bao Bao Shawl absolutely shines in this bright, bold palette. I’m a little sad the knitting is over, but completely in love with the finished piece. It truly feels like wearable art.

Elemental update 🧶✨ The Good News and The Bad News...

The Bad News: We officially have no more backstock of Elemental Sport or Elemental Worsted. What is currently dyed, listed online, and ready to ship is what we have available at this time. This is the final batch of Elemental spun by Kraemer (the mill that close), so if you love this yarn, now is a great time to grab some while it’s still available.

The Good News: After over a year of searching, we’ve found our new mill partner — Mountain Meadows in Wyoming / ! We’ve been working closely with them through sampling and development, and we are getting very close to production. We’re anticipating a full Elemental restock later this fall (or sooner), and we can’t wait to have this beloved yarn line back in full production.

Until then, once the current inventory is gone, it’s gone — so if there’s a color or quantity you’ve had your eye on, now is the time to scoop it up!

Into the soak she goes! 🧶✨😍

My Bao Bao Shawl is officially off the needles and taking its first bath. I already miss knitting this one—it was such a fun, relaxing project and I loved watching the colors come together with every row.

Stay tuned for finished photos once she’s blocked! 👀

And if you’re loving Bao Bao as much as I am… I’m starting to think kits might be a very good idea. 😉

Heading to Fresh Coast Fiber Festival / / this weekend? 🧶✨😃

We’re so bummed we won’t be able to make it to the festival this year, but we’re excited to see a new fiber event happening right here in Michigan and are cheering it on from afar!🎉

If you're traveling north on I-75 on your way to the festival, we’d love for you to stop by North Bay Fiber! We’re located just 3 miles off the Pinconning Road exit, making us a perfect yarny stop along the way. Come squish some yarn, say hello, and stock up for your next project before continuing your journey north. And don't forget to grab some famous Pinconning Cheese while you are in town! 🧀

We want to wish the organizer / , vendors, instructors, and attendees a fantastic weekend! Bringing fiber lovers together is something worth celebrating, and we truly hope Fresh Coast Fiber Festival becomes a wonderful annual tradition for Michigan’s fiber community. ❤

New workshop just added! 🧺✨

We’re so excited to welcome Heather Macali ( of ) back to North Bay Fiber for a brand new Basket Weaving Workshop.

In this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, you’ll create your own 10” x 10” gathering basket while learning the fundamentals of basket weaving, including rib construction, working with a frame, flat and oval reed, shaping, tension, and more.

Have you been following Andrea Mowry’s Thanks, I Made It series? ✨

It’s such a fun peek into her daily me-made outfits, and I’ve really been enjoying watching along. If you don’t already follow Andrea, I definitely recommend checking it out! She's super talented!

In a few of her recent videos, she’s been wearing her beautiful Comeback Again Cardigan — a design she created in collaboration with North Bay Fiber using our BayHouse™ Sport.

So today felt like the perfect day to share our shop sample! 🧶

Our version is knit in BayHouse™ Sport in the colorway Algae, and we love how wearable, cozy, and classic this cardigan is.

Andrea has lovingly called it her “Mr. Rogers sweater” — that everyday cardigan you reach for when you want a little cozy something to throw on. And honestly, that feels like the perfect description.

We’re so excited to share that North Bay Fiber will be vending at this fall! 🧶✨

This will be the 13th annual Indie Untangled event, happening Friday, October 16 at HITS on the Hudson in Saugerties, NY — and we are thrilled to be part of this incredible day of yarn, creativity, and community!

This will be our third year vending, and we love this event so much — the venue, the people, the season, and the beautiful energy of Rhinebeck weekend. We truly can’t wait to return!!
