Hello everyone, I just wanted to come on here real quick and say this:
This is not a car dealership, we do NOT negotiate on the price you’re given when you bring your items in. We are the ones that set the pricing and if you are not satisfied with the price given to you, then please feel free to take your business elsewhere. This seems to be a reoccurring issue where we provide you (the customers) with the price for the work that you want done, and some of you feel compelled to negotiate a lower price because you think it’s an easy job or it costs too much in your eyes for the work that you are wanting done.
If you feel it is an easy job then please by all means, do it yourself with your own needle and thread. If you think the price is too much for the type of work done then consider this: we are the ones that have to buy the materials needed to do the work you need done, we are the ones that have to pay for the power needed to utilize the sewin machines and lights to be able to see and complete the work you want done, and you are also paying for my time and experience that we have to be able to actually complete the work you want done.
Let’s not forget that aside from the cost we have to pay just to utilize everything we need to complete the work you need done, we also need a way to profit off of it because hey, cost of living. The prices are set the way they are to accommodate the cost we have to pay, but so we can survive on the profit too.
Lastly, this is a full fledge business and whether you pay via cash or debit/credit card, yes you do still have to pay taxes. This is not a side hobby that we opened for just to pass time, this BUSINESS was opened to support ourselves and pay for our personal expenses and leisure’s too. Basically it all boils down to, if we have to pay taxes to run our business, then yes, you as the customer must pay taxes on the services you are receiving from our business. I’m not sure where people have been coming up with negotiating on our prices, telling us that “it’s an easy job” or even trying to get out of paying taxes, but it needs to stop.
We have been in business for 20 years June of this year, and up until 2023, the prices were the same. (We may have had one other price increase aside from the one in 2023) so please, no more complaining about how expensive the prices are (you do get what you pay for - and our prices aren’t even expensive), the fact that you have to pay taxes on services you are wanting rendered, or trying to negotiate pricing like we are a car dealership.
As for the return/repeat customers that still continue to bring their things to us to be fixed WITHOUT complaining about the prices, negotiating the price down like we are a car dealership, and happily pay the taxes without a fuss, thank you! You customers are greatly appreciated and we thank you for your continued business!
Thank you all for the read, sorry about it being lengthy! Have a great night and rest of the week!
