Give the haters the cold shoulder in these off-the-shoulder gowns - they're just jealous.

"I love off-the-shoulder sleeves, but the gown I fell in love with doesn't have any type of sleeve to work with."
That's not a problem at all! Most seamstresses can add a sleeve using the material removed from the hem. If you didn't have a lot (or any) removed, they can take an inner layer of fabric from the skirt and work their magic. Don't be afraid to ask about the different options - just because your gown doesn't have sleeves doesn't necessarily mean it CAN'T have sleeves!

Fun Fact: Did you know we try to put street sizes on all of our gowns?
That means when you see "fits like" in the description, that the gown fits closer to that size in everyday clothes like jeans and dresses. But when you see "tag size," that means it's the bridal tag size (which those sizes are silly, let us worry about those).

We’re back with another Bridal Maven FAQ! We had our owner, Hannah, sit down and answer some of the questions we hear all the time in the shop.

Today’s question: What do you accept for consignment?

We do accept bridal-related items like:
Wedding gowns
Little white/second look dresses
Veils
Jewelry
Bridal accessories

There are a few things we don’t take, including:
Flower girl dresses
Mother of the bride/groom dresses
Groom attire
Prom gowns or other formalwear

If you ever aren’t sure if your item qualifies, send us a message! We’d much rather answer your question than have you guess.

Have you ever wondered how we set our gown prices? While there are many factors that go into it, the size of the gown will NEVER be one of them. Take these two, for example, they're the exact same gown, just different sizes, so why would the price be any different?

The factors that *do* go into deciding a gown's price are the condition, age, original purchase price, and style.
