Styling is EVERYTHING! Channeling the faerie spirits with this all-silk summer fit 🧚🏻‍♀️

The two-layer, recycled sari silk wrap skirt needed more volume. I gathered the top layers and pinned them at the hip using a 1950s red + clear rhinestone filigree brooch. A simple trick that works with all kinds of skirts!

The top is actually a long, sheer silk scarf in shades of purple, tied in the back to make it a tube top. You could also wear it as a halter, or a belt, or a million other things!

Maybe I should make a video showing different ways to wear a scarf as clothing? Let me know if you want to see that!

You don’t have to overthink it - putting together an outfit is supposed to be fun!! *reminding myself and you*

For me, a staple spring style formula is denim shorts (or jeans), a tank top, and a lightweight, oversized button up shirt.

Add some jewelry to finish it off. And don’t underestimate a chunky beaded necklace or two to complement a dainty chain and pendant stack!

Oh hi, it’s me!! I had a great time chatting with - and styling - a few months ago for !

It makes me so happy to know that my my vision for Gemini Vintage resonates with so many people. I truly just want to share my love of vintage and second-hand fashion with my community, and to be a safe, welcoming place for people to explore and experiment with their own personal style in a way that feels empowering, fun, and positive.

Seeing/hearing myself on camera is always a little weird, but I honestly LOVE how this came out. Thanks for making it happen, and thanks to everyone who has helped me keep doing this thing!!
