In the car heading home from Albany starting another handspun cotton Potholder Pro square for the summer top I plsn to make. It will take 18 squares crocheted together. This one has brown cotton, brown and white cotton, indigo dyed cotton and indigo and white cotton - all yarn that I’ve spun weaving in my “Beyond Potholders” way. Each square is different. Enjoying the sturdy loom from Keep On Looping.

What an honor to be a part of this talented group of 9 weavers! Currently the woven work of the Garnet Weavers is on exhibit at the Crandall Library in Glens Falls, NY. Our “Woven Expressions” will be on view through April 30, 2026. Members Noel Dingman, Janet Gallant, Monica Hayden, Suzanne Hokanson (ME), Kathy Kelley, Lora Langston, Charlene Leary, Carol Pearsall and Cynthia Schira represent beginners through experienced weavers who all share a love of weaving and live in the northeastern Adirondack region of New York State. Our exhibit shows the wide variety of possibilities the medium offers.

A little lap weaving on my new “ Keep on Looping” loom from using my handspun brown cotton and indigo dyed handspun cotton. Wonderfully sturdy loom! We’re on our way back from a quick much needed roadtrip to Savannah. Someday this will be one of 18 handwoven squares in a summer top!💙

Thank you - this says it all!
