Choosing Ishani tile for our courtyard house in Damascus back in 2004. Underglaze syria tile and vessels from my book Restoring Damascus with Watered Down Paint, Amazon. Yarmouk Studio gathered Syrian and Palestinian artist to draw the beautiful delicate motifs, mostly women. Distorted completely over the past 15 years and along went with it the tiles. Old inventory which survived inside Damascus stores is what remains.

Over the last three decades I tried to incorporate Syria Aghabani Hand guided embroidery into a collection here and there. An exclusive textile made over the ages by Douma women as the specialized sewing machine was included in her trousseau, hence the name “ kitchen art”.

تتمة زياراتنا إلى متحف الأستار برهان حيدر
بعين البيضاء داخل المركز الثقافي. المسلوبه مصنوعه من خيوط الحرير المحليه وهذه الأيام نادرة. شغل السناره يزينها أقصى الطرفين ونحن بحاجه إلى هذه الشالات لمجموعة قصر العظم- المتحف السوري لأزياء الفولكلور، دمشق.
