Join us for Artwalk this Friday, September 4th, from 5–8 PM at Deckadence!
We’re featuring Pocatello artist Jonah Saunders, whose work brings some of our city’s historic buildings down to miniature scale. Drawing from his background as a designer and his passion for tabletop gaming and miniature painting, Jonah uses public images, satellite imagery, and street views to model each building, then resin prints and meticulously hand-paints every detail.

🚨 GROUP RIDE MEET-UP // Thursday's, 7:00 PM

Years ago, a few local kids started throwing soft longboard wheels on beat-up street decks so they could cruise the neighborhood smoothly and quietly. They called them Wizard Stix.

On Thursdays, we’re keeping that spirit going. Whether you haven't stepped on a board in years, or you're just looking for a relaxed evening cruise, this is for you. No pressure, no gatekeeping. Just a community ride.

We’ll be hitting different trails each week. We're starting easy, but as the summer goes on, we'll slowly work our way up to some faster, more challenging paths. Sticking with us week-to-week is the best way to get your skate legs back before we tackle the hills.

Check our stories every Wednesday for the week's trail drop and meet-up details.

Meeting Point: (This week) Riverside and Ravine (trailhead)

Roll Out: 7:00 PM

Route: Sacajawea Park / Millward Mile

Distance: Approx. 2 miles round trip

Rating: 🟩 / 🟦 Green/Blue (Mostly flat, paved, entirely separated from traffic)

Hazards: A couple rolling hills, standard trail debris, pedestrian traffic.

Grab your cruiser, your longboard, or your regular setup. If your current board feels a bit too rough for the pavement, swing by Deckadence before Thursday and we’ll help you get it sorted out.

We’ve got two groups hitting the concrete this month:
👉 Level 1 (July 6-10th) is for absolute beginners who need to learn how to push, turn, and bail safely.
👉 Level 2 (July 13-17th) is for kids who can already tic-tac and want to start working on ramp kickturns, footwork, and park flow.

Our Accelerator Series Levels 1, 2 and 3 also starts this Monday. There is a level for every rider starting from scratch to more advanced board control.

Our next 5-day City Skate Camp blocks drop the week of July 6th!

🔹 Level 1 (Beginner): For kids stepping on a board for the first time. We cover stance, pushing, carving (turning),how to use the tail and fall safely.
🔹 Level 2 (Intermediate): For riders who can already tic-tac and flat-ground kickturn. We move into ramp kickturns, advanced footwork, and building separation.

Sessions are limited to 12 skaters so everyone gets real, one-on-one coaching. All boards and safety gear are included for the week, plus signing up gets you a special discount on a new complete setup back at Deckadence!

Note: There is a 6-student minimum per track, so gather up your friends and neighborhood crews to ensure your session is locked in!

Congratulations to our Level 1 Deckadence City Skate Campers who all officially conquered the concrete! 🎉🛹
I am absolutely stoked to see how hyped these kids were all week. Watching them grow both as people and as skaters in just five days was incredibly rewarding for me. They battled the wind, crushed the foundational mechanics, and absolutely dominated the graduation challenge course today.
If you or your rider are ready to level up, our next camp track starts this coming Monday (June 15th)! We will be shifting gears into Intermediate Progression, covering:

📸 Spencer has spent over 20 years chasing perfect light and beautiful landscapes in the wilds of Idaho. Born and raised in Idaho and Utah, Spencer has dedicated his time exploring the great outdoors of the region. Spencer has a large format printer and is known for large prints on metal, wood and other substrates. His current interests are black and white prints on Birch wood.
