Time... such a perplexing thing. Each day seems to move so slowly, yet the years pass in the blink of an eye. We often think of time as endless, something that will always be there, but in reality, it is one of life's most precious and fleeting gifts.
After many wonderful years, I've decided it's time to close this chapter and begin a new one. I'm embracing this journey of life with gratitude, cherishing the memories, the friendships, and every lesson learned along the way.
To all of my valued customers, please be assured that any outstanding work and existing commitments will be completed before I officially hang up my tools. I remain committed to finishing every project with the same care and dedication you've come to expect.
Now it's time for travel, gardening, and who knows what else. I finally have the chance to enjoy life without watching the clock—although I suspect my garden and my passport will be keeping me plenty busy.
Retirement doesn't mean doing nothing... it just means I no longer have to ask for a day off! Here's to sleeping in, taking the scenic route, and discovering what comes next. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. It's been a privilege, and I'll treasure the memories forever.

Wanted to share what I have been working on.....this has been an adorable, charming project to create. Each section is dedicated to an individual child of their clothes when they were young- what memories they hold, especially seeing the little outfits! Names and birth dates embroidered (blacked out for privacy in this post) on each block....when you look at the back it contains each child's baby blankets.....truly memories stitched together! What an extra special keepsake! Thank you for trusting Morgans Gift with such a heartwarming project!

We’re fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the country. For generations, life and livelihood have been shaped here on the Eastern Shore. This time of year, ducks blanket the Chesapeake Bay, inspiring long-standing traditions and artistry.

As I look back on the last 4 years of growing Morgans Gift, I feel incredibly grateful for all that we've accomplished. From the early days to where we are now, it's been an amazing journey. But I’ll be honest—it's also been a lot of work! Being a one-person operation at times means there’s a lot to juggle, and as the business grows, so does the need for extra hands.
That’s where you come in.
I’m looking to find someone who shares the same passion for what we do and who is ready to dive in and help us build something even more special. The right person will not just be helping with the daily tasks—they’ll be an important part of what makes Morgans Gift unique.
What We’re Looking For:
• A strong work ethic and a real sense of responsibility
• Honesty, integrity, and clear communication
• Organizational skills and the ability to keep things running smoothly
• An openness to learning and adapting to different tasks
• A little creativity and a lot of heart
Details:
• Full-time (preferred)
• Hours: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Tuesday to Saturday (with Saturdays ending at 4 PM)
• This is a position where you’ll have the chance to take on different roles, contribute to creative projects, and really make a difference in the business.

At Morgan’s Gift, we believe every memory deserves to be held close.
A daughter came to me carrying her father’s favorite shirt, asking if I could create a Memory Bear that captured every image on the fabric. With thoughtful planning, careful placement, and a little Heat-n-Bond magic, each image found its perfect spot. His necktie was resized and resewn, a tiny pillow was added—every detail chosen with intention.
Then came the moment that truly defined this project: she returned with a keepsake vial of his ashes and asked if they could be incorporated. I created a special heart pocket within the bear, a place for her father to be carried with her always.
This Memory Bear is more than a project—it’s a reminder of why Morgan’s Gift exists: to transform cherished items into deeply personal keepsakes that bring comfort, connection, and love.

Who remembers big bows, puffy sleeves, and log trains? Put all that together and you've got a beautiful bride straight out of the 80s/90s. Fast forward to 2025, and now your little girl is getting married. And she wants to honor your love story by wearing your wedding dress at her rehearsal dinner, with a few modern tweaks!
-Remove the big bow
-take off the drop waist and hanging V-beads
-transform the skirt into a chic high-low style
-add a panel at the waist for a perfect fit
It's amazing how a gown can carry decades of love, memories and hope....being re-imagined for the next chapter. Stich by stich, your story becomes part of hers.
