I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the fact that this year marks America’s 250th Anniversary.

Maybe it’s because I learned about the Revolutionary War as a kid, but it always felt like something that happened so long ago. The older I get, the more I realize…250 years really isn’t that long.

I carved out a little time today to put together a new flat lay, and it got me thinking about what it must have been like to fight for a country that didn’t even exist yet. To believe so deeply in the idea of freedom that you’d risk everything for it.

Then, because I’m a mom with little ones, my thoughts shifted to the women.

The wives and mothers who watched their husbands leave, never knowing if or when they’d return. The women who rocked babies to sleep while carrying the weight of uncertainty. Who kept the farms running, managed businesses, mended clothes, cooked meals, and simply did whatever had to be done.

Their courage looked different, but it mattered just as much.

So today I’m introducing the Daughters of Liberty Collection, inspired by those women whose strength helped shape the country we call home.

The collection will be available at Storehouse and online this Friday.

As we celebrate 250 years of America, I’m especially thankful for the ordinary people whose extraordinary sacrifices brought us here.
