Some people believe everything happens for a reason.

Cracked Cathy has a different theory. 😏

If you’ve ever watched one of my mannequin reels, you already know she’s not exactly the inspirational type.

What’s your vote: fate or poor planning? 😂

I almost bought this because of the colors.

I ended up buying it because of the story.

Only after bringing it home did I discover that these iconic lips belonged to fashion designer Betsey Johnson.

In the 60s, British Pop artist Peter Gee became close friends with Betsey while creating artwork and graphics for Paraphernalia, the groundbreaking New York boutique where she was a designer. He went on to use impressions of her lips in a series of vibrant silkscreen prints that became some of his most recognizable works.

As I learned more, I discovered there was much more to Peter Gee than these famous lips. He exhibited alongside artists like Andy Warhol and Robert Indiana during the Pop Art movement, and his work was inspired by other muses, including Penelope Tree.

That’s what I love most about collecting.

Sometimes you fall in love with an object.

Sometimes you fall in love with the story behind it.

❤️ Would you have guessed this print had a fashion story behind it?

She’s been through a lot… and she’s finally ready to tell her side of the story.

(And yes… this is the beginning of a new series.)

Bonnie Cashin didn’t design handbags.

She designed a way for women to move through the world.

In the 1960s, she was already thinking beyond a single bag, creating “carriables” and “Cashin-Carry” pieces that lived alongside her clothing.

Straps, pouches, totes… designed to work together.
Functional. Flexible. Built for real life.

Her bags weren’t the focus.
They were part of the system.

Decades later, we’re still catching up.

Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

Meet Cracked Cathy. 💔

She can find the downside in absolutely everything… and somehow, she’s still convinced she’s being realistic.

I have a feeling she’s going to become a regular around here. 😂

Do you know a Cracked Cathy?

🍪✨ Pop art you can snack on!

This rare 1989 Peter Max “Zero Man” ceramic cookie jar features his iconic cosmic character Zero Megalopolis.

Did you know? Both Peter Max and Andy Warhol were passionate cookie jar collectors who swapped pieces and competed, inspiring Max to create his own fun designs like this one (made in Japan).

Art in the kitchen? Yes please! Would you display it or use it? 👀 Drop your answer below!

Some garments don’t stop telling their story when they leave the atelier. They simply begin another chapter.

This 1990s Christian Lacroix jacket is one of those pieces.

From its sculptural stand collar and asymmetric silhouette to its jewel-like buttons, every detail reflects Lacroix’s belief that fashion could be wearable art.

Years after it was created, this remarkable jacket found an unexpected new home when it was purchased by Dolce & Gabbana.

One of my favorite parts of working with vintage fashion is that you never really know where an extraordinary piece will end up. Sometimes it becomes the inspiration behind another remarkable story.

Every garment has a history.

The best ones keep making it.

Some stories are waiting to be told.Coming soon. ✨

Before stories traveled in your pocket, they traveled in a Louis Vuitton trunk. 📚

Around 1915, Louis Vuitton created this Malle à Livres (Book Trunk), designed to protect books during journeys by train and ocean liner.

Every detail reflected the craftsmanship of the era, from the sturdy construction to the iconic hand-stenciled monogram, applied one motif at a time.

Today our libraries fit in our pockets. The love of a great story is timeless.

This trunk found a new home some time ago, but its story was simply too good not to share.
