Today feels like a rare pause, a moment when the world softens for just a day, and we get to breathe a little deeper. We’re spending it with our families, taking in the small things: the warmth of a kitchen, the quiet of a morning, the familiar chaos of kids running around. And in the middle of all of it, we find ourselves thinking about all of you.
Studio Tercette began in a place familiar to many mothers: a playground. Two women watching their children tumble and grow — talking about the beautiful, impossible balance of wanting something that was ours while giving so much of ourselves to everyone else. Those early conversations turned into sketches, experiments, late-night texts, and eventually this studio.
We never imagined that starting with a single material, yak wool, would connect us with so many of you. And yet here you are, season after season, choosing softness, choosing intention, choosing a small studio built on care.
To our Portland community: thank you for showing up for us in ways big and small. For stopping by Superette and Storied Objects, for trying things on, for bringing friends, for telling us in person how a sweater feels or how long you’ve been eyeing a piece. You make this tiny team of two feel bigger than we are.
To everyone beyond Portland: thank you for every order, every message, every moment you’ve taken to share how our pieces live in your life. Your support is what allows us to create thoughtful collections, one season at a time.
We hope today brings you rest and warmth. And as the weekend unfolds, we hope you’ll continue to shop small. With us, with the makers you love, with the studios doing their best to create things that endure. It makes more of a difference than you know.
A gentle reminder: our once-a-year Black Friday event ends Monday. Quantities are limited, and we won’t be offering this pricing again until next year.
