A little back story on this design… I sat on it for about 6 months before even deciding to print a sample because I didn’t like the fern I had drawn for it. 😂
Even with the sample in hand I still wasn’t sold on it, and gave that sample to my partner to wear. He loved it and wore it frequently. (It’s still one of his most worn.)
Over time (and with a lot of feedback) I realized everyone but me really liked it, and I should just print it.
I printed a batch of this design on sweatshirts, and sold out of all of them at an event. I printed it again on another batch of sweatshirts, and sold out of all of those too. I printed it on T-shirts and once again sold out of all of those. 😂
I like to think after 10 years of doing this that I have a pretty decent idea of what people will like, but to say I’ve been humbled with this one is an understatement. 😂
I recently printed a few hundred of this design to be sold at the Made in Oregon stores (a black sweatshirt version exclusively for them 😎), and it’s on track to be one of my top selling designs of this year.
So needless to say, I now offer this design on multiple colors of sweatshirts and T-shirts! And the irony is not lost on me. 😂 Entrepreneurship is a wild ride and to say I’m not constantly humbled and surprised would be an understatement. (I do even find myself reaching for this same shirt now. HAHA)
But anyway, I hope in whatever you do, that you leave it better than you found it. The world is a wild place nowadays and I do believe a little extra care and consideration can go a long way. 🌱🫶🏔️
