Portland Gear Weatherproof Travel Bags & Apparel. Designed in Portland, Proven Everywhere. We started with that idea, born from our roots in the Pacific Northwest. Go Together.
(285)

Portland Gear exists to bring people together, because life is better when the journey is shared. A place where connection and togetherness are as elemental as the rain. In 2014, our founder, Marcus Harvey, turned his hometown pride into a line of DIY hats and t-shirts that have since grown into a worldwide brand. Today, Portland Gear designs and produces a full line of weatherproof travel bags and apparel, available globally and at our retail locations. Our products are a balance of style and function, designed to bring people together, wherever they are. Travel is about connection, not distance. The things we experience together along the way become the stories we tell. That’s why we create products that move with you—through everyday moments and life-changing trips. Products that become part of your journey, and part of you. Designed in Portland. Proven Everywhere.

Waking up today with heavy hearts for our neighbors and friends in Bend.

What happened yesterday at Silver Rail Elementary School is unimaginable. No parent should ever have to experience this. No child should ever have to fear going to school. We’re heartbroken for the families, teachers, students, and entire Bend community.

As a dad, I can’t stop thinking about the parents who dropped their children off yesterday morning, expecting to pick them up that afternoon. There are no words for that kind of loss.

Over the next week, Portland Gear will donate 100% of proceeds from our Bend store to support the families affected by this tragedy through verified fundraisers.

We love you, Bend. We’re grieving with you, and we’re here for you. 🫶🏻

Introducing the Cascade Clutch and the Cascade Mini!

When we created this line, we spoke to our female customer and asked “What do you carry when you’re not carrying our backpack?”

The overwhelming response was “we love the wire frame opening of the bags, and the weatherproofness, but we want something smaller, more sleek, and fashionable.”

These insights are what lead to our Carryless collection made from our signature Leatherlite™ material.

All the things you love about your Portland Gear bag, now elevated.
