Here’s a peek 👀 of the finished colorways this week - the pale muted tones of blue and green - “Lakeside Embers” and the bright blues, yellows and pinks - “Summer Rain”. They’re both so pretty - I can’t wait to see what people make! I think I’ve set the website up correctly and the listing should turn on at 7:00pm EST. 🧶 $19/each - $8 flat rate shipping. Fingers crossed it all works like I’m hoping!🤞

BIG restock on Sandnes Garn today! And did you know we also have a great selection of Sandnes Garn printed patterns too?...

BIG restock on Sandnes Garn today! And did you know we also have a great selection of Sandnes Garn printed patterns too?

It’s been really fun meeting so many of the Maine Yarn Cruise folks - it’s always so nice to make new friends and chat about knitting, crochet and yarn! 🧶 One thing that has surprised a bunch of people is that we do not sell any yarns that are owned by private equity companies. Not that that’s anything crazy or unusual-but it’s something I actively think about when ordering - and a statement I’m proud to make.

It might not seem like a big deal - but finding a home for over 500 balls of yarns means lots of moving stuff around. But I did it - and I LOVE IT! Come check out Knitting for Olive - it’s so lovely! 💕

When I first decided to make this crazy (but so rewarding) change to a yarn shop I knew I wanted to carry Knitting For Olive yarn. I love their color palette, the yarn is so lovely to work with and I appreciate their liberal business policies. I opened a wholesale account and bam! - the tariff saga began and they stopped shipping to the US. Sadly, I had to place my order with them at the bottom of my vendor list and hope that one day I would have it in my budget to add the line once they began shipping here again. Well - that day has come! Our first order of KFO arrived on Friday! I’ve added all of the beautiful colors we ordered (20+ 🥰) and weights - merino, heavy merino and soft silk mohair. (Don’t worry - I plan to add more types and colors as time goes by.)
The shop will reopen on Tuesday and I’ll be putting everything on the shelves, but if there is a color you’ve been waiting for please feel free to place an order and I’ll have it ready for you (or I can ship it too!). KNITTING FOR OLIVE

I spent a long time trying to design the best project bags and accessories. I want them to be functional, I wanted them to be pretty, I wanted them to be washable, and most importantly - I wanted them to be affordable. And I think I nailed!

I have some really exciting shop news - but I thought I’d give you a chance to guess… what do you think it is? 🥰

Monday is my favorite day. ❤️ Every Monday is different. Some days I’m catching up on bookkeeping, some days I’m dyeing yarn. Today I’m dyeing our new canvas project bags and pouches. I’m so excited to see how they come out!

I love wooly, non-superwash yarn. 🧶 I love knitting with it, I love wearing it and yes - I even love the smell of it. 🐑 Unfortunately, it isn’t that common in the hand dyed yarn world - because it can be pretty tricky to dye. But I’ve gotten pretty good at it, and thought it would be fun to develop a group of hand dyed, tonal colorways for the shop from some of my favorite wooly wools. I’ll be adding different weights and colors as time goes by, but I thought I’d start with my favorite. A Woollen spun 100% Corriedale fi*****ng weight. Because of how it is spun, 100g yields 492 lofty yards - which work up like a sport weight. Isn’t that amazing?

We had a big run on Cascade Yarns Heritage the last couple of weeks - but we just restocked - and added a few new colors too!

I made a hat pattern - and it is free on Ravelry! 🧶 It’s called the Breakwater Beanie - please download and make it - it’s a super comfortable hat! 🥰
