Here’s one of the loveliest projects I had the pleasure of working on recently! 👉✨

The Royal Mint Museum in Wales run an annual short story competition for 7-11 year olds, and one of the prizes is to have the winning story illustrated and framed...

So, I had the absolute joy of creating a page of images inspired by 7 year old Marlowe’s story ‘The Gold Fox’ to celebrate her worthy win. 🥳

Here’s a wee look at some of the illustrations that I put together based on this beautifully written piece, which you can find in full on their website.

Huge congratulations to Marlowe for standing out amongst thousands of entries, and thank you to the museum for trusting me with this project and sending these sweet photos…

I doubt this is the last time I’ll come across one of Marlowe’s brilliant stories! 👏

With the end of the month comes the end of my exhibition at the tiny art show 🔎, so here’s a closer look at some of the miniature pieces that were on display in Provo 👋 It’s packing up a little sooner than planned to keep these all safe from the elements and get them ready for their new homes - thank you to anyone who snapped one up and sorry if you missed seeing them! ♥️ I would love to know how you found the exhibition if you visited in person… I still can’t really comprehend the scale from over here but I’m so thrilled with how it turned out! It’s funny to look at all these peaceful scenes and remember the crazed state I ended up in while trying to finish them, but I will always overthink the tiniest details… A good reminder to just enjoy the process. It’s meant to be FUN! 💃🏻

Thanks again to the Tiny Art Gallery for all their amazing work on this show, and for creating a beautiful space to celebrate the beauty of small things. 🤗

Thank you so much for your kind orders over the weekend! 🌞 I mentioned on my Stories that I’m taking final orders up until the end of the day tomorrow (23/06) so I can slow down before the arrival of a small person. 🍼 I’ll be closed for a while but will be back at some point, perhaps when things start getting festive… we shall see! I don’t think I ever got round to sharing a proper photo of these lovely riso cards, printed so beautifully with four inks by RISOTTO, so here’s the whole gang ♥️ I’ve added 5 new stamps to the previous 8 designs, all with their locations on the reverse, and the puffin ones are back too! 👏

I’m so excited for what is coming together stateside for my tiny exhibition with the , opening tomorrow! Here’s a closer look at some of the pieces which will be available through the gallery. I have loved following this wonderful, whimsical project on here and knew it would be a perfect fit for my miniatures as soon as I saw it! Please let me know if you make it along - I’m sad not to be able to see it in person, but I’m so thrilled these will be on show for over a month, until July 25th 🤗

A wee peek at what I’ve been piecing together for a very small exhibition at the … opening next Friday in Provo, UT! 🔍 My usual frames were far too big, so I made and painted these miniatures ones at few centimetres each 😅

One of my favourite paper pieces to make for my current exhibition was this one, based on a hidden gem in Helsinki, the Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall 🏊🏻‍♀️ I had a couple of days out in the city while I was staying in Finland, and I was considering going for more day trips just for the joy of swimming here! The building was designed in the 1920s by Väinö Vähäkallio, and is such a tranquil space to be, with separate days for men and women, saunas and a bar, and the option of wearing a swimming costume (my British family were in shock 😳). I actually felt quite emotional bobbing around with all these ladies of different ages, embracing their bodies and taking time out of their days to be in community and look after themselves in such a beautiful space. You can’t take photos inside, so I wanted to try and capture the place in a little paper scene. Afterwards my Finish friend Saara introduced me to her dad, a master potter, who handmade some of the tiles for the pool when it recently reopened. 💙

You can still see this piece and more at .41 for this weekend only, and afterwards it’ll be heading to my next exhibition which I’ll post lots about soon!

Last couple of snaps taken by and the two in the middle can be found on ’s website.

A huge thank you to everyone who filled out .41 for my exhibition opening last Saturday - the support was so appreciated and it was a total pleasure to celebrate this work with you! 🥂 Grateful too for my pal and studiomate who captured these lovely moments from a beautifully busy night🌛

Somehow this was the first time I’ve properly exhibited work here in Glasgow, but it’s something I’ve wanted to do for ages and I just needed a good deadline to break me out of my comfort zone… maybe you can tell, but I am just a couple of months away from having my first baby (much more obvious from side on).😅 I knew time was ticking and that this would be a special way to mark the end of this phase of life as I know it! Thanks again to everyone who has popped by to see this show, and I hope to do more in the future when/if life settles down.♥️

The show continues from today till Sunday the 3rd of May, so you still have a bit of time to catch it in the Southside. Some of the pieces will be heading onto another exhibition in the States (details to follow) and some will be added to my shop - I’ll decide a date soon and post it here first. 😌 Final thanks to .atelier for this beautiful space and to for putting together some of their always brilliant frames in time for this!

I’ve had this old secondhand locket sat in an envelope for a while now, and I finally got round to filling it with a little paper scene while I was away in Finland. Of course it’s another frozen lake… a very fiddly one that was quite limiting with its scale, but a good challenge as always!

I’m installing this and more of my work from that trip at the beautiful N.Atelier in Glasgow today, opening tomorrow and running to the 3rd of May - I can’t wait to have it all up on the wall! The open evening is on Saturday 25th from 6-8pm, and all are very welcome to pop in for a drink and a closer look! This piece and a couple of other framed ones will be available to purchase 😌 I’d love to see what I can fit inside another locket or two in the future, so I will do some serious eBay digging when I can!
