Meridian brushed leggings - one of my very favorite patterns. Deep lapis, cornflower, gold and copper. Super pleased with this little skirt I got at Red, White Blue Thrift Store in nearby West Linn (the all time best thrifting in Oregon).

My new Nob Hill pattern! A tapestry of ivory rabbits & snakes against a lapis blue background. I’m trying to do a pattern-on-pattern thing here (and wearing my favorite vintage tweed vest). I will wait for judgement from the queen of pattern-on-pattern CandiceStyle … success or try again?

We’re so fortunate to have access to a collection like this here in Portland — it’s mind-blowing. Andrea Aranow spent decades traveling the world collecting rare and vintage textiles, and now part of her archive lives at Textile Hive in the Pearl, digitized for members to explore. I first learned about her through a post about touring the space. I’m so glad I took the tour. It reminds me a bit of the hat museum in Ladd Addition. Takes a lot of drive and thirst for seeing and learning more… pretty inspirational for me.

Maxine flared leggings remind me of a vintage Pierre Cardin men’s formal suit I had in high school. It was a silver and purple zig-zag fabric. I have regretted getting rid of that piece for years - at least I have these lovely trousers to ease the regret.

It was a beautiful day to be on the water. On our way home from the lake we stopped at a nursery where I fell in love with a pot. It matched my leggings! I ended up getting a HUGE Brazilian Jasmin, but alas - no pot.

POCKETS!!! Our new shorts style has a generous inside pocket in the back wastband. It’s been a game changer - no more bulky f***y pack (now I just need to remember that’s wear I put my phone)!

My new Jupiter legging shorts got a workout yesterday on the Dungeon Crawler Carl ride here in Portland. A really beautiful day for a ride - and the shorts were exceptionally comfortable!!

My Mom in one of my early designs. Ain’t she cute! She loves these because they “go with any color” which is true, but they gave me a headache so I didn’t keep them in my catalog. LOL
