Mom Needs a New Sweater
Day 1
Mom noted recently that her sweaters were itchy. True. I made them with inexpensive acrylic which wasn't soft. I have to keep the a/c running because I overheat (thank you many paws) so she needs a sweater inside. I decided on cotton - but which cotton? What weight? Did I already have something in my stash? Of course not.

I love it when the stars align and a local shop had the exact yarn in the exact color I needed for a project! Yarn is Dragon Tale 4/2 smooth cotton.

This doesn't look like a post, but this is my sewing chair. 10 plus years old, and the vinyl seat had started flaking. Of course I chose a shade of purple for the new cover.

I'm pleased to report that the only injury I sustained was a cut while trying to open the stupid plastic clamshell on my new electric staple gun.

Just another reminder why we moved and my time has slowed to a crawl. My mom this blanket years ago before her stroke made it too difficult to do anymore. This guy is still only 1, and mom is 91.
