BlackBird at the Depot Funky finds, vintage, handmade, and art from Karen Rohn & friends Open Fridays and Saturdays, 10ish to 4ish. And when the OPEN sign is on. Vintage. Cast offs.

A Clearinghouse of Cool. A curated collection of all things that make up rural living with an artistic flair for gathering. If you are looking for a shop that is unique and not a copy cat, this is the spot. We deal in: Used western boots. Local art and made items. Favorite things of our curator. And more. Our artist/owner Karen Rohn is a thinker. She writes down words and sometimes they hit a note

. She photographs her rural lifestyle that often borders the world of music and the architecture of cities across the US. She blooms where she has been planted. Basically: Cool sh*t from someone who isn't concerned with being trendy. Get in yer car and drive!

Tea towels, with images from owner Karen Rohn, back in stock. There is a true story behind the "Bird Wedding" written word piece. I waitressed for my pal, Jan Knott , at The Brown Hut back in the 80's. There were always the regulars who came in to the cafe. One such person was a sweet gal whose boyfriend worked at the Forest Service. I wish I could recall her name... but she was a sweet creative who loved to chat. She was the one who introduced the term "bird wedding" as a substitute for "flock of birds." It stuck in my mind. I started using the term as a replacement for the common. I taught it to my daughter, Taurean Jae, when she was just little. The written piece "Bird Wedding" was a real exchange between mother and daughter.
