Just finished this live edge redwood table for the bonus room. Played around with different looks and wound up trying something new. Dyed epoxy black using charcoal powder to fill the knots and cracks. Sanded to 600 grit 360 degrees. Applied natural stain in golden oak, then started playing with the finish. This is what “hand rubbed” tung oil turns out to be. Never would have thought an oil would wind up this clear and smooth in the end. Took about 6 applications but I like the final look of it.
