Unbelieveable!

In 1998, Karl Bushby made a bar bet that he could walk from the southern tip of South America all the way home to England.

What he thought would take 12 years has become a 27-year journey.

He’s walked 31,000 miles across four continents and 25 countries. He crossed the frozen Bering Strait on foot over shifting sea ice. He survived the deadly Darien Gap between Colombia and Panama.

His two rules, never broken: No motorized transport to advance, and can’t go home until he arrives on foot.

When Russia banned him from re-entering for 5 years in 2013, he walked over 3,000 miles from Los Angeles to the Russian Embassy in Washington DC to appeal. It was overturned.

In 2024, he faced an impossible obstacle: he couldn’t walk through Iran or Russia to reach Europe. So he swam across the Caspian Sea for 31 days, covering 288 kilometers. He’s not a swimmer. He did it anyway.

He’s now in Hungary, about 932 miles from his hometown of Hull, England. Expected finish: September 2026.

After almost three decades on the road, he is finally nearing the end of one of the most extreme walks in modern history.

He’s 56 years old. He started at 29.

Seems like we're slowly but surely heading in the same direction of our "Mother Country" and we can see in some of our states what that means already ie Minneasota!

Muslims have been pouring into the UK for years, now the most common name for baby boys is Muhammad. That seems a little strange.
