First hunt of the 25-26 season! Yeah, it’s hot…but I had to come sit in a tree! There has been a nice breeze all afternoon so it hasn’t been bad at all. I’m hoping something will start moving before it gets dark.

Hunts 4 and 5 were very similar....covered up in deer! On Monday, the deer waited until just before dark so I couldn’t tell much about them, except there were 5 all around my tree. I had to wait until they left to climb down. On Tuesday, the same doe and her baby (from previous night) came right to my tree. Since I don’t shoot momma deer, they got a pass and I watched them until dark. I did spot what I believe was a buck on Monday afternoon...the body was so much bigger than the other deer I’ve been seeing!
