My husband and I had our first date in a year last month and got to see one of our favorite comedians - ! That night I doodled a (very) rough draft of an idea I didn’t want to forget. I finally took the time to flesh this out during my lettering practice this evening.

Fixed my spelling! When I was 11ish, I learned about Frida Kahlo at school. A tía came to visit soon after, and when she asked about things to do I BEGGED to go to a local museum with a featured gallery of Kahlo’s work. I was entranced by Kahlo’s ability to turn pain into beautiful pieces of art. I still have the postcards my tía bought me featuring some of Kahlo’s self-portraits.
