I watched a Beat Of Our Own twice, and both times I left feeling inspired, energized, and wanting to resume my 8 years of Kathak practice❤️ yes! I have a diploma in it ☺️ A secret fact.

If you’re near Princeton, please make the effort to watch it before it leave the theatre, very soon. It leaves you with the kind of uplifting feelings and connection we need a little more of in this day and age. ❤️

An Alchemical Affair ⚡️

We’re closing Orvana early to attend the opening of Fire and Gold: The Art of Alchemy at the Science History Institute in Philadelphia.

What fun it was designing the scarves for this special exhibition, inspired by its extraordinary collection of alchemical art and rare books.

Excited to see them become part of the evening, and for guests to take home a little piece of the exhibition.

See you tomorrow, back at Orvana- 11am -6pm 🖤

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Today, I took a walk in memory of my mother, who called me a warrior as I stood beside her bed during her last few days. She was, and remains, my hero.

Her love of life, her humor and the warmth she gave everyone who met her continue to inspire me. I know I cannot fill her shoes, but I do attempt to can carry her spirit forward.

Inspired by her and her love of handmade textiles that she passed on it, I’ve also quietly designed for women navigating the many ways our bodies change, whether through childbirth, aging, surgery or life itself. Because we can feel comfortable, beautiful, and at home in our bodies with what we wear.

And, nature offers the most beautiful place to begin healing. 🤍
