Happy Friday everyone! This past Sunday crew members Annie, Elizabeth, Julia, and Kevin got the chance to go to Hasbro Children’s Hospital to hand out some beanies and support a couple of kids in their fight against pediatric cancer🎗While we did not get any pictures with the kids, our visit was truly moving and we are so grateful to provide a sense of hope wherever we can.

The trip was extremely refreshing in that it put our own problems into perspective with real, life-threatening problems children less than half our age deal with on a daily basis. In the midst of this hectic holiday season, I encourage everyone to take a moment to be grateful for your own well-being and for all the people and relationships around you. No matter how bad you think you have it, there's somebody who's got it way worse.

Our Providence Love Your Melon Crew has an annual fundraiser right as the holiday season begins. Next Saturday, we’ll invite our community near and far to donate and join in the fight against pediatric cancer. As a crew, we spend the year planning events that spread the mission of love your melon and the word about these superheroes that battle every day.

As we embark on this fundraiser, we are seeking out a family with a child battling cancer. In a mission to put a beanie on every melon, we will be sending the whole family beanies along with favored Christmas toys, decorations, meal items, or whatever is needed for the holiday season. In order to create a meaningful and relaxing holiday, we want to help in a way that we know how: serving others who face adversity.

If you have any families close to your hearts that are in the providence area, please send us a message. We would love to sponsor them with some holiday goodies post our annual fundraiser for the kids! Have a great rest of your week and remember to love your melon! 💪🏻🍉
