I've been completely MIA for the last 8 days, but for a great reason! We had an opportunity to travel with our 5 young adult children to Savannah and St Augustine and had a fun and wonderful time. Yes, going away takes a lot of prep work and coming home is always a shock, but the time away with loved ones is priceless! Always opt for taking the trip!!🐬🌴🌞

Scenes from the studio this past week: some beautiful prom dresses, a bow/bustle, and an American bustle (or overbustle, the one I do most often). Proms are wrapping up and most of my May brides are out the door!

Supper of champions? I say yes.
Marathon week of fittings and sewing. I'm half convinced I'm losing my mind, but am starting to see the end of the crazy yearly collision of proms and spring weddings. Getting there!

Scenes from the studio this week:
A sunrise captured from out the front door (been working sweatshop hours y'all.)
A beautiful bouquet given by a church friend (just celebrated 10 years working at my church job! Yes, I'm still there, Lol. Very part-time though)
Lots of very beautiful dresses!
Some cons:
People that act surprised that I "actually" do this full time. Why yes, I actually do! Seamstresses are in low numbers, and we are all working like crazy people this time of year!!

Took a very short mini-break to catch some of my favorite blooms this afternoon.🌷🪻I needed it! In case you're wondering, yes, I am super busy right now! April is a very high volume month and apparently many are desperate for a seamstress, LOL. (Also a very sweet older gentleman took my picture.)

Good evening! I'm Rachel, the face behind Rachel Craig Designs. I realize I have a bunch of new followers on here, so thought I'd better introduce myself a bit better. Here are some random things about me:
*I've been married to my husband Jeff since 1999. He's definitely my better half.
*I'm 47, almost 48,
*I have 5 young adult children (4 boys and 1 girl) ranging in ages from 19-24. I'm also a twin mom!
*I am a Christian and believe that following Jesus is the most important decision of one's life.
*Some likes: coffee (dark roast!), chocolate, babies, any type of flower, lemony desserts, laughter, good books, unproblematic people, walking/hiking
*Dislikes: any seafood or fish, non-genuine people
*I'm kind of clumsy, not sporty
*I met my best friend in kindergarten, on the reading rug. Her and I graduated #1 and #2 in our high school class and we are still the greatest of friends.
*I'm naturally an introvert but do like a certain amount of people interaction. Also, I apparently have a very distinct laugh that I wasn't really made aware of until like a couple years ago.😂

Newly created bustle here. The bride's request was something very drapey with multiple swags and reminiscent of a Bridgerton-type style. This was a fun one!
